We visited the Madrona Restaurant on San Juan Island. First off let me just say the location is just spectacular as it looks over Roche Harbor. The environment and atmosphere is superb. I couldn't ask for a more scenic and lovely place to dine. The staff were very friendly and attended to our every need. We ordered some fish tacos and bulgogi beef tacos and a drink. They were all very good and definitely worth trying. The cost for the tacos was a little over 20 for two tacos. That being said even though that seems a little pricey for tacos the atmosphere and service made it worth it. Definitely recommend enjoying this establishment.

Just go here! We got the slow roasted Kobe beef sandwich and a delicious burger (forgot the name). Everything tasted amazing and fresh! The tomatoes were the freshest I've had in a long time! Meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sauces added a lot of depth without being overpowering. Top three meals we had on the island. Highly recommend!

I had the rockfish & chips - very tasty, definitely the best fried fish I've ever had, by a mile. It's a beautiful spot as well, and the service was good.

Roche Harbor is a must-see, and this place is a must do! Large deck right in the water overlooking the Marina. We were seated outside in the sun right away at 1PM. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, he took exceptional care of us. This Grill does close for the Winter season, typically after September 30. My better half had the Steak Bowl and I had a salad, but we're fresh and light and filling. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite places to eat as a local. Not only getting a water-side seat to watch the marina and see the view, but the food and service have always been excellent in the 19 years we've lived here. We can relax on the deck, have a few cocktails, and enjoy the views. Couldn't be better!! This time we ordered the crab quesadilla, onion rings (best on the island!), the fish tacos, and the Wagyu beef dip sandwich. Wow! And the Huckleberry Baby Back Ribs are AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! SUPERB! We also love their chop chop noodle salad and their burgers. You really can't go wrong. So glad Madrona Grill is keeping their good quality going. As always, well done!!! Highly recommended!

Convenient spot to grab an early dinner after a day sea kayaking. We received the Steelhead dinner in lieu of the catch of the day Fish N Chips, it along with the Clams were superb and the best dishes. Good flavors all around.

My family LOVES coming here for a meal. Atmosphere is 10/10. Our seating choice is always the patio where our Mini Poodle, Rosco, is welcome as well. The Yellowfin Poke Nachos & Shanghai Street Noodles are MUST HAVES this Summer! Service is always Friendly, and extremely efficient/speedy.

This is an excellent restaurant. It is family and dog friendly and features a beautiful view of the marina and the sunset. The food was delicious. I would recommend the rockfish tacos, those were soooo good. The rockfish is actually really tender and well cooked. The carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is also delicious and not too hearty. I usually don’t like carrot cake, but this was exceptional! The only disappointment was the Caesar salad. The kale and romaine tasted like it hadn’t been rinsed and because of that the whole flavor of the salad was off. I highly recommend sitting outside, but bring a sweatshirt in the evening. It is cold even in summer. We stayed for the colors ceremony which really cool to witness. It is definitely worth it to wait until sunset to see it. We came the first week of July and the ceremony started at 8:57 and lasted about 15 minutes. We came to Roche Harbor by boat and there was almost nowhere to dock. Thankfully our boat is pretty small so the visitors dock had enough room.
